What Silbenwald is
Silbenwald is a provider of personalised children's audio stories: parents give a name, an age, a theme and a preferred narrator — and their child becomes the main character of their own audio story.
We are not a catalogue you pick from. Every story is made after you order it, and afterwards it exists only once: for your child.
How it works

You tell us about your child
Name, age, what the story should be about, which world it plays in and what your child is like. We ask for nothing more.

You check the pronunciation
Before anything is produced you hear a short voice sample with the name. If it does not sound right, it gets corrected.

The story is made
Written, read by one of eleven narrators and laid over quiet music. That usually takes a few minutes.

You get a file
An MP3 that is yours — playable in the browser, downloadable, for Toniebox, Yoto, tigerbox, hörbert or any player. Plus a PDF with questions for afterwards.
What a story is made of
The name, twelve to twenty times
Spread across the whole story, not just at the start. A child who hears their own name listens differently.
Eleven narrators
From the grandmother to the lantern keeper. Three are available in the free story, all eleven from your first purchase.
Four age bands
2–3, 4–5, 6–7 and 8–10 years. Language, length and tension change with the band — about eight minutes for the youngest, up to nearly half an hour for the oldest.
Eight occasions
Falling asleep, story time, courage, birthday, starting school, moving house, a new sibling, a wobbly tooth — the occasion changes the shape of the story, not only its subject.
What Silbenwald is not
Not an audio drama
No cast, no sound effects, no background noise. One voice, calmly told — because these stories usually play in the evening.
Not a subscription
You pay once. Even the rituals simply run out after their last episode. There is nothing to cancel.
Not streaming
You get a file, not access. It still works in two years, and it works without us.
Not data collection
We ask for a first name, an age band and what should appear in the story. Not a surname, an address, a nursery or a date of birth.
Who is behind it
Silbenwald is run by NetBoosting GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The stories are created with the help of generative technology — that is, AI — and are editorially checked and released before they reach you. The characters, the worlds and the rules we tell by are ours.
